The Beagle is a very graceful little dog, as long as high, well built, solid, giving off a strong expression of strength and energy. The head is strong but not massive, with an accentuated stop and a non-pointed snout. The ears are attached high, rounded and fairly long.
The eyes, round and lively, give the dog one of the most captivating glances of the canine world. The limbs are strong and muscular, perfectly straight. The tail, large and well furnished with hair, is attached high and worn in saber.
The type of size less than 35 cm, now very rare, was called “Beagle Elizabeth”, in honor of Queen Elizabeth who selected it as a pet
