For Drove, the day felt as usual in the shelter. He lay on his comfy pillow, curled up in a nap, uneregitic and bored. After all, it didn’t seem as if someone would come and adopt him, anyway.
In October 2016, a cruelty investigator found the 5-year-old terrier mix tied up inside an empty house, abonded and scared. Drove was transferred to the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby (HSM&S) and became the most loved dog among the staff there. However, for six long months, no one adopted him .Time passed and Drove remained without a family.
But in a particular day, the cameras were rolling for the best reason ever. “He’s just sleeping and doesn’t know that he is going home soon!” the staff member said. That’s right — on this particular day, he is going home.
Before they married, Morgan’s beloved 13-year-old boxer passed away, and she wished to adopt a solace companion. Luckily, her new husband Tyler was all in, and they both wanted to adopt a formerly homeless pet. Then in April, Morgan and Tyler returned to the shelter to pick up Drove.
Just wait for the joyful moment he’s walked out of the kennel and over to encounter his new parents, who renamed him, Samson, aka Sammy.
This is the best moment all shelter dogs wait for!
