A dog bite is no fun at all and dogs do bite – we all know that. However, no dog ever bites without being provoked by someone or a situation. And dogs get aggressive with a purpose – to create space and distance between themselves and the target, according to The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.

They may feel afraid, threatened, uncomfortable or stressed. When they get aggressive they’re basically telling the other to get away from them.

So, dogs get aggressive and bite to protect themselves, out of fear. They might also be protecting their owner or a person they are attached to and even resources such as his bed and food.

There are a few dog warning signs when they feel frightened, aggressive or when they are about to bite. If you see them take notice of them and know they might be signs of an immediate dog attack.
