If there is one miracle we are all waiting for, it is dogs developing a way to talk and communicate with us in our language. But for now, we have to accept their way and learn to understand their sounds because, through them, they tell us many things.
Some dogs are more talkative than others, and it mostly depends on the breed you are dealing with. Chihuahuas, beagles, Schnauzers, Yorkshire, Siberian huskies, and all terriers are known to have way too much to say than others.
According to the American Kennel Club, there are some dog breeds that tend to have specific distinctive sounds. For example, Shiba Inus tend to scream, Rottweilers tend to purr, Siberian Huskies tend to talk, and Basenjis tend to yodel.
So basically, it is a handful of sounds and you should not always expect your dog to bark, it is up to you to determine what your furry friend is saying.
