#1 – Introduce the Brush & Take it Slow
Since you’re here, chances are your dog is not a big fan of being brushed. The first step is to slow things down with your pet. You’ll need to approach brushing in a kind and positive manner, and it’s important not to expect that you’ll complete the entire process in one session.
Take enough time when introducing your pup to the brush; start gently and slowly so you can allow your dog to develop positive sensations in relation to your grooming tools. In case your pooch starts getting nervous or anxious, stop immediately and take a break, then, you can start again in a few minutes.
