5. Laxatives
Medication for constipation in dogs should be prescribed by a veterinarian. There are many laxatives that have been deemed unsafe for dogs, so this is something you shouldn’t do without the instructions of a professional (let alone feed your dog laxative used for humans).
Veterinarians will probably recommend a mild laxative as a first option, so you don’t have to go through the trouble of making an appointment for nothing. If the situation doesn’t improve, however, maybe it is time to seek help.
