Readying this article about least smelly dog breeds means you’re thinking about getting a dog, the first thing I want to do is say “thank you!”. A dog is a great blessing in everyone’s life, and you’ll have great moments with him. Just make sure that you can provide him with all he needs: food, meds, and love. Secondly, you probably went to people’s houses and knew immediately that a dog lives there because you can smell it. And some of those smells can be quite intensive. And then you think again about if getting a dog is really worth it since you don’t want your house to smell bad. Well, I have something important to tell you: not all dogs smell bad. Actually, there are some dog breeds that you won’t even sense their odor. So, if you really want a dog but having a smelly house is something you don’t want, I’ve made a list of 10 least smelly dog breeds just to help you out.

1. Dalmatian

You know them from the Disney movie where 101 dalmatians were born at the same time. Since that day, dalmatians are one of the most wanted dog breeds by adults and children. They are also quite popular in firehouses and even became the mascot of some departments. And having a dalmatian is having a house without that typical doggy odor, mainly because of their short and dense fur coat, that what makes them the least smelly dog breeds.

2. German Pinscher

The German Pinscher looks like a mini Doberman, and guess what?! It’s a totally different breed. They are a small to medium-sized breed and very active dogs! They’ll run through your entire house and jump easily upon your couch. They are elegant, strong, great companions, a bit greedy when it comes to their food but, best of all, you won’t even notice he’s odor.

3. Papillon

No, I’m not talking about butterflies. Papillon is actually a dog breed that got his name because of their ears that make his head look like a butterfly. They are so small that they enter the toy category when it comes to dog breeds. Funny, intelligent, obedient and agile are some of their main characteristics. Lacking that typical dog smell is also something they are known for.
