Also known as cowboy dogs, Australian shepherds usually live about twelve to fifteen years. They are super intelligent and great with kids. They also make great company on a walk through the woods, or if you prefer, you can also turn them into a great nanny for the kids. They don’t do well in apartments, and they don’t enjoy being alone too much. This makes them great dogs for anyone who values family and lives in a big house with a lot of green space around.
