A dog with a cancerous tumor is one of the most tragic things anyone can witness. Sadly, cancer is very common in dogs as well as it’s a leading cause of death. In fact, nearly 6 million pet dogs are diagnosed every year in the US.
The signs of cancerous tumors in dogs often include unexplained weight loss or skin wounds that won’t heal. However, many lumps and bumps that appear on dogs are totally benign.
While not all types of canine tumors are cancerous, they should all be examined by a veterinarian as soon as they appear.
