#6 – Osteosarcoma
Great Danes, Greyhounds, and other large dog breeds have the highest risk of developing bone cancer, especially in the legs.
In this case, an X-ray is crucial to rule out arthritis and a biopsy will confirm that the dog has osteosarcoma and not another condition. If it’s cancer, the treatment involves imputation or, in some cases, a limb-sparing procedure followed by chemotherapy.
