5. Lakes
A survey by the University of Uppsala, Sweden, found that there are about 117 million lakes worldwide. They occupy almost 4% of the planet’s surface! There are main types of them, from tectonics to glacial. The most common are the freshwater lakes, fed by rivers and without out-flowing streams. But the type of park doesn’t matter to your dog. It only matters that it usually has enough water to swim. However, not all lakes are safe. Some have animals that can attack your dog as alligators, others have toxic algae. So look for dog-friendly lakes and stay close.
