10. Purchase a black light
If you have tried to find the spots that were smelling suspicious and you still find something lingering, maybe it’s time to buy a black light. With this expert-like light, you will be able to identify bodily fluids like saliva and urine that might be what’s causing that bad pet smell around your home. Scan everything around you, from your walls to the furniture, but be aware that these lights will also notice other things, like drinks that you have spilled in the past, or cleaning products that you didn’t rinse properly. However, it’s always useful to know that the glow from bodily fluids tends to be yellowish or greenish.
