Aggressive Dogs: What Are They?
Dogs, like people, behave differently in certain scenarios or situations. There are days when they are more lazy or passive, and others when they are more active or aggressive. The truth is that they are not decorative pieces or porcelain animals. They are living beings and react as such.
The fact that they bite – and that is just one of several signs of aggression in dogs does not mean that dogs are bad or violent. They may just be stressed, frustrated, or afraid of something.
The act of biting corresponds to the release of serotonin (the hormone responsible for well-being) on the part of the animal’s brain when they feel pressure, and, at that moment, they become more calm and relaxed. However, the dog doesn’t bite out of the blue, and so you need to know how to interpret the signals it sends before going into attack mode.
