5. They Listen And Respond To You
You can tell a lot about dogs and their owner’s relationship by the way the dog responds to what his owner is saying. Just listening to your voice ordering them to come over, and seconds later appearing in front of you, is a huge sign your dog respects and obeys you. You might think, “Yes, it’s cool that he obeys me, but when it comes to doing tricks, he won’t cooperate.” Tricks are harder for your dog to complete for sure. You’ll need a lot of dog treats and patience. But if you think about it, he coming to you when you call him is way more important than any trick he might learn. If he gets lost or is in a dangerous situation, you calling his name might be what ends up saving his life.
