1. Don’t let your dog run with a stick in their mouth
Sticks are the go-to toy for dogs; they’re easy to find, cost zero money, and dogs seem to enjoy bitting and playing with them a lot. So why not? Well, even though sticks are very popular, some may cause harm to your dog’s mouth. It all depends on how the stick lands and if the stick itself has some sharp edges, but the general rule is: don’t allow your dog to play with sticks. Instead, drop a couple of dollars at the pet store and buy a soft stick, a rubber ball, or any other pet-friendly toy to avoid tragic experiences.
