6. Do not lose your temper
Sometimes your pet dog can drain your patience quicker than you could ever imagine, but losing your temper and screaming at them will do more harm than good. Dogs will not understand your frustrations, so whatever you are feeling, do not take it out on them.
7. Learn as much as you can about dog behavior
Your dog can’t use words to communicate, so you will have to find new ways to understand how they feel and why they act the way they do. The best way to do so is by learning as much as you can about canine behavior – from their facial expressions and the way they bark to body language. This type of knowledge is super resourceful when it comes to understanding certain situations in which your dog seems uneasy and uncomfortable, and it helps establish trust.
