4. Respect their personality
Dogs are just like humans. Even though many dogs share resemblances and similar traits, you need to really get to know your dog and acknowledge their likes and dislikes. Even though dogs can’t talk, you can still understand them through their body language. How do they react when you pet them? Do they pull away when you touch their tiny paws? If they reject your advances, respect their space and their autonomy.
