6. Watch out for fungus
The smell of pumpkin pie in the air, the cozy evenings at home, the falling leaves… Oh, Autumn is truly amazing. But those fallen leaves… Even though they add a touch of magic to this season, they also provide the best environment for wild mushrooms to thrive. And even though some species of fungi aren’t toxic, it’s hard to know which ones. So, to protect your dog’s health, be sure to keep them away from any wild mushrooms. If you happen to let your dog run around your backyard, do a quick check for wild fungi. While you are at it, pick up the fallen fruits you might have laying around, since apricots, plums, and apples contain seeds that are toxic for dogs.
