6. They Are Having Trouble Moving
If your dog was injured somehow, they could show mobility issues, but this can also be a sign of more serious conditions, like arthritis, which is pretty common in senior dogs. If you notice that your dog is having trouble catching up when you two go for a walk, or if they avoid exercise or are reluctant to doing simple things, like climbing the stairs, this can be a sign they are hurting somehow.
