Diabetes in dogs is a disease associated with genetics and poor diet, including the imposition of a nutrient-poor diet. This is an extremely complicated health condition that often leads to life-long medication or death in dogs.
There are several causes of diabetes in dogs, but it is usually caused by obesity and pancreatitis. These diseases are to be blamed on the diet that the pet is following. See if your dog drinks a lot of water, vomits frequently or has problems with digestion, as these are the most common symptoms of diabetes.
