It won’t be too long till the weather starts warming up, which means it’s time to quickly figure out new dog activities that will tame the excitement of your furry friend. It’s not fair to stay home when it’s warm and bright outside anyway!  All dog breeds are active dogs when the weather is good outside. Suddenly and after being a couch potato, you will find your dog pretty ecstatic to go out and run. He knows that spending some time in the sun is highly beneficial for him and you!  So take a look at these fun dog activities that both of you will enjoy!

1. Go camping

If you like to camp, you don’t have to put your pouch in a dog daycare center. He can be a great companion for such adventures!  Camping trips can be fun for all sized-dogs, and it will give both of you a chance to spend some quality time exploring and hiking. Plus, he can really protect you from, well, cats perhaps. However, you don’t need to have a tent for this camp to be a success. You can look for nearby dog-friendly cabins at lakes or parks. You might want to add a friend with a pup into the mix to make these human/dog activities more fun.

2. Take a swim

Some dogs are not big fans of water, but most of them enjoy swimming so don’t miss out on an opportunity to have some water fun! You can head out to the beach, find a hiking trail near a lake, or discover a river together.  If you live near a creek, stream, or pond, then you and your furry bestie can spend some quality time splashing around and playing fetch in the water. Don’t forget to grab two towels for both of you.

3. Exercise

Interested to get healthier and shed some winter fat? This is your chance to do it, if there is a lack of motivation, you can just say it’s a part of the dog activities that you must do.
