3. Don’t adopt if you don’t have the time
Everyone wants a puppy, they’re cute and they can be trained from a young age, but do you have time to train your new puppy? The difference between an old dog and a younger one is that the young one needs time and attention, the older one could have more expenses but is capable of being alone while you’re working long hours. Think about your daily routine, do you work from home? Do you have someone at home that can look after the puppy? Are you a patient person? Motivated? If so, then you might do well with a young puppy, and during the times you have to leave your puppy alone, it’s always a good idea to keep them in one space like a bedroom with their favorite dog toys so they won’t miss you badly.
