2. Be cautious
Even if you have a happy and healthy dog that has never shown any signs of distress around children, you shouldn’t leave them unsupervised. This is a generic rule, but it becomes more important if we are talking about dogs who are actually afraid of being around children. A dog who is afraid of being around kids can become unpredictable, which can not only result in stress for the puppy, but also in actual harm to the child. Keep an eye on them and manage their interactions with each other to prevent any possible accidents.
