4. Know when you should stop

Your dog has grooming anxiety, so you don’t want to keep grooming them to the point of panic! You should take things slowly and build trust between you and your dog before jumping to a grooming session that might feel rather “aggressive” to your dog. If you notice that your dog is panicking or becoming more aggressive, it means it’s time to stop and try another time again! Do not just keep grooming your dog when they’re struggling with a panic attack. That will only make them lose trust in you, and you definitely don’t want that or them getting hurt.
