5. Make sure your dog’s house is good enough

If you are going to keep your furry friend outside, you need to be sure to provide them with proper shelter. An insulated, airtight doghouse would be ideal. But if you have a regular shelter for your dog, you need to take some things into account: is the entrance of your puppy’s house protected from the rain? Is the roof inclined? And is this space insulated enough so your puppy won’t be cold? Think about it as if you were going to sleep there yourself – and if you can’t see that happen, then maybe you shouldn’t subject your dog to it either.
